Welcome to TalkVerse ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application TalkVerse (the "App"). 2.1 Personal Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address (via Google Sign-In)
  • Date of birth (to verify age eligibility)
  • Gender
  • Profile avatar (selected from pre-defined options)

2.2 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use the App:

  • Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)
  • Log data (access times, pages viewed, app crashes)
  • Chat messages exchanged with AI characters
  • Push notification tokens (FCM tokens)

2.3 Authentication Data

We use Firebase Authentication (Google Sign-In). We receive your Google account email and profile information but do not store your Google password.

  • Provide and maintain the App services
  • Generate AI-powered chat responses personalized to your preferences
  • Send push notifications (proactive messages from AI characters)
  • Verify age eligibility (18+ requirement)

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Firebase Authentication for secure identity management
  • Bearer token authentication for all API requests
  • Regular security audits and updates

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Chat Data and AI Interactions

Messages you send to AI characters are processed to generate responses. Please note:

  • Chat messages are stored to maintain conversation history
  • AI responses are generated by machine learning models and are fictional
  • We may use anonymized, aggregated conversation data to improve AI quality
  • We do not sell individual chat data to third parties
  • AI characters are not real persons and do not represent actual individuals

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google Firebase — Authentication, Cloud Messaging (push notifications)
  • Google Sign-In — Account authentication
  • Cloud hosting providers — Data storage and server infrastructure

These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

7. Push Notifications

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send push notifications. These include proactive messages from AI characters. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. Your FCM token is registered upon login and unregistered upon logout.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Chat history is retained until you delete your account. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time

10. Age Restriction

TalkVerse is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. The date of birth verification during onboarding ensures compliance with this requirement. If we discover that we have collected data from a user under 18, we will delete that account and associated data immediately.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
